The number of times you can use a tape varies with the tape quality. This value gives you a rough idea of how fresh that tape is. Our suggestion: every time you record over any recording on a tape, increase the Times Used field by 1. This field is optional, so you don't have to use it unless you want to.

"B501" could be the unique Tape Number for one tape, while every tape in the series could all have the same Tape Name of "Babylon 5". Tape Number is a unique identifier for each tape, while the same Tape Name can apply to many tapes as a way of categorizing them in your collection.įor instance, suppose you have many tapes with episodes of the program Bablyon 5.
